National Recruitment Agency to Fill 1.5 Lakh Group B & C Posts Across Ministries

The Government of India, via the National Recruitment Agency (NRA), will conduct a single-window recruitment for 1.5 lakh Group B and C posts, aiming to streamline public‑sector hiring. The move is expected to create substantial employment opportunities for fresh graduates and experienced professionals.
The National Recruitment Agency (NRA), set up in 2023 under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, is tasked with conducting a unified recruitment process for Group B and C posts in central ministries, public sector undertakings, and autonomous bodies.
In its first phase, the NRA will fill approximately 1.5 lakh vacancies spanning sectors such as railways, banking, education, health, and defence. The recruitment will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a skill‑test and document verification, with the first round slated for early 2025.
The initiative aims to reduce recruitment delays, ensure transparency, and provide a merit‑based selection platform, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the public sector workforce. Aspirants can now prepare for a common syllabus covering General Studies, Aptitude, and domain‑specific knowledge.
For exam‑preparing candidates, the NRA’s unified test pattern aligns closely with the syllabus of SSC, UPSC and Banking exams, making it a critical reference point for current affairs, recruitment policies, and public‑sector employment trends.
