Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka is recruiting 15,000 regular teaching posts for the 2026–27 academic year.

Vacancies

• Graduate Primary Teacher (GPT/GPSTR): 8,500 posts
• Assistant Master / High School Teacher (AM/HST): 4,500 posts
• Primary School Teacher (PST): 900 posts
• Physical Education Teacher Grade‑I/II: 600 posts
• Computer Science Teacher (CST): 500 posts

Eligibility

• GPT/GPSTR – BA/BS/BCom/BCA in subject + B.Ed/D.El.Ed + KARTET or CTET Paper‑II
• AM/HST – subject degree + B.Ed (50% marks; 45% for SC/ST/Category‑1)
• PST – PUC/12th + D.El.Ed/D.Ed + KARTET Paper‑I (if required)
• PE – B.P.Ed/D.P.Ed/C.P.Ed or equivalent
• CST – BCA/BS (CS)/B.E. (CSE) + prescribed training

Application Fee

₹750 for General/BC; ₹500 for SC/ST/PwD per post.
