Jharkhand Home Guard Deoghar is recruiting 772 volunteers for rural and urban posts in Deoghar district. Applications are accepted online from 11 to 26 October 2026.

Vacancies

772 seats: 635 Rural and 137 Urban (including 69 technical and 68 non‑technical urban posts).

Eligibility

• Age 19 to 40 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Rural: Class 7 pass and permanent resident of the same Deoghar block.
• Urban: Matric/10th pass and ordinary resident of Deoghar or Madhupur; technical seats require a skill certificate.
• 50% of all seats reserved for women.

Important Dates

• Online application opens: 11 October 2026.
• Online application closes: 26 October 2026, 5:00 PM.
• Pet/Hindi writing/technical test dates to be announced later.

Application Fee

₹100 for all categories.

Selection Process

• Physical Endurance Test (PET)
• Hindi writing test
• Technical test for technical stream

1. Visit recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in and select “Home Guard” under Jharkhand Home Guard Deoghar.
2. Choose Rural or Urban enrolment and the block/urban area that matches your residence certificate.
3. Fill all required fields, upload a recent colour photo and signature, and submit the online application.
4. Pay the ₹100 application fee through the portal’s payment gateway.
5. Submit the application before 26 October 2026, 5:00 PM.
