The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is offering 200 Trade Apprentice positions for a one‑year apprenticeship training at its IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur.

Vacancies

200 total seats across trades: Electrician (30), Fitter (30), Turner (10), Machinist (20), Welder (70), Ref & AC (10), Mechanic‑Motor Vehicle (10), Computer & ICTSM (10), Draughtsman (10).

Eligibility

• Minimum 18 years of age as on 28 September 2026.
• Maximum age as per Apprenticeship Act 1961.
• ITI passed in the relevant trade.
• Applicants with an existing contract ID in another organization are not eligible.

Important Dates

• Application start: 28 September 2026.
• Application end: 7 October 2026.

Application Fee

None (online application via NAPS portal).

Selection Process

• Marks obtained during ITI in the specified trade and category.
• Tie‑breaking: older candidate preferred.
• Waiting list: 10% of total seats.

1. Register as a student on the NAPS portal.
2. Obtain a valid registration number.
3. Login and go to “Apprentice opportunity” → “Find establishment”.
4. Select SAIL‑IISCO STEEL PLANT, Burnpur (E03171900012).
5. Apply in your passed‑out trade of ITI against the available vacancies.
6. Submit the application before 7 October 2026.
