Wildlife Institute of India (WII), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, is recruiting 3 Scientist‑C posts.

Total: 3 (1 UR, 1 EWS, 1 OBC).

Eligibility

Ph.D. in Wildlife Sciences, Indian citizen, age 21‑35 years as on 2 December 2026. Minimum 2 peer‑reviewed publications and professional experience in one of the three research areas.

• Last date for remote areas/candidates abroad: 9 December 2026, 5:00 PM.

Application Fee

Rs. 1,000 (Demand Draft) for General/OBC/EWS male candidates; Nil for SC/ST/PwBD and women.

Selection Process

• Written Test (70%)
• Interview with presentation (30%)

1. Download the application form (Annexure‑3) from the WII website.
2. Fill the form, paste a recent photograph, sign, and attach self‑attested copies of required documents.
3. Attach a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000 (if applicable) drawn in favour of "The Director, Wildlife Institute of India".
4. Write "Application for the post of Scientist‑C" on the envelope.
5. Send the envelope by Registered/Speed Post to The Registrar, Wildlife Institute of India, Chandrabani, Dehradun – 248001, Uttarakhand, ensuring it reaches by 5:00 PM on 2 December 2026.
